1994-1995 was a big snow year for the Sierra. It was a lower snow year than 2022-2023 which now appears to be an all-time record. Anyway, a friend sent me a photo of his wife near Mt. Whitney summit on Labor day 1995. The snow here was the left over snow from the 1994-1995 season. In contrast, in June 2022, there would have been no snow in this photo:
