yes but you need a fire permit. are they automatically included in the backcountry permits? seems like a quintessentially unnecessary layer of bureaucracy...
A campfire permit has always been required to have a fire in a national forest outside of developed sites. It has not been "automatically included". And it is "quintessentially unnecessary": just don't have a fire.
