National Forest Service The camps are closed to guests but all trailheads are open and off-trail camping is allowed.
The big question I've been trying to track down is whether the lower gate is closed. It was open back in February when I last went up. I've been trying to find out from someone local if it's open or not. I may drive over tomorrow and check for myself, in preparation for a trip next week.
Also keep in mind that the governor of California is saying that quarantine will be relaxed in "days not weeks," and restaurants and hotels are going to be re-opened in modified form at that time.
