We've had 2 cancel in our group for August 7th. Do I just need to go in and reduce the group size on my permit to make those available? If so, I will post a message here before doing that.
If you reduce your group size when you pick up your permit, those don't show up online, since it is within the 24-hour pickup date of the permit.
But if you go online 3 or more days before the trip, on recreation.gov, and reduce your group size, then those slots will show up (at a random time within the next 24 hours) online for anyone else to reserve. Going online is certainly the best thing to do to help others pick up a reserved slot. Thank you!!
