Edit - got my $1.19 dividend with ID # it actually is a 7 digit number with 207 at the beginning. Still late 80s likely around the first few Muir Trail hikes in the late 80s.
This year my dividend is going to be under a dollar. All I bought last year were a few cans of isobutane for my stove, something that's rather difficult to do online.
The store is too far from my house to ever just go look around. I also found other channels to source gear, and more importantly, I have more mountaineering and hiking kit in my gear closet than I will ever need
6 or 7 tents, 4 ice axes, 6 or so backpacks - you get the picture.
