Bear poop in the woods just behind the portal. I'd say they use this path to make there way down for supper or a late night snack. We (I) made a rookie mistake in my excitement and walked straight up behind the big rock rather than looking first heading up right. This was on the morning of Aug 9th and led my wife and daughter on a good hour detour of the mountains up along to the creek and back. They were going to join me up to Lone Pine Lake before I continued on. Anyway, there was fresh bear scat at two different locations along this trail. Kind of neat to show my daughter but did get us looking around since both seemed to be very recent deposits and assume a well used trail by the Ursus Americanus.
