Thanks Steve..... I leave for the Portal on Sunday for little over a week of camping. I like to day hike out Horseshoe Meadows. My favorite hike, well, one of many, is over Cottonwood Pass, pick up the PCT south and exit Trail Pass. I like to do this because I load up on bags of cookies, candies and such and hand them out to PCT hikers I meet along the way.
