For solitude and views, some of my South Shore favorites are Tallac, Ralston Peak, Waterhouse Peak and Pyramid Peak (via Rocky Creek). Snowshoes/spikes + ice axe recommended. Parking can be the biggest challenge for Ralston and Pyramid depending on recent snowfall and plowing.

Anything around Echo Lake/Desolation Wilderness should be rewarding (for many trailheads accessing Desolation, check that Hwy 89/Emerald Bay isn't closed for avy control).

If you want something easier/groomed (but more people), then hopevalleycrosscountry.com or Sugar Pine Point State Park are good options.

Snowshoe Trails of Tahoe by Michael White is a great reference book.
