Great pictures Chris, congratulations on making the summit. That does sound like a long day, but it sounds like you took your time and really enjoyed yourself.
Very long! Hiking the last 2 miles from Lone Pine Lake to the trailhead at 1am seemed to take an eternity! I paced myself throughout the day and just kept saying to myself it's not a race. Slow and steady.
