I was worried when we first were thinking of moving to SoCal, as I loved being in the Northern Sierras, and figured I'd be leaving good mountain hiking behind. It's different down here, but still some excellent hiking opportunities. I'm excited to explore more!
There are a lot of excellent hiking opportunities all over SoCal. Make sure you visit Baldy and San Gorgonio. Lots of different trails and routes over there as well. SJ just happens to be my favorite. Wait until we get a good snow year again and you'll feel like you're back in the Sierra. My pictures from Spring of 2011.
