Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion White Mtn in Fall & Winter

I realize it varies year to year, but when does snow usually start accumulating on White Mtn?

My father in law is visiting from NH next month. I'm not too optimistic, but we are hoping for a Mt. Whitney or White Mtn hike the week of Oct 13th.
