My wife gasped a bit when she saw this picture of me up on Half Dome last Saturday.

Her concern got me to searching for how much those exfoliating rocks up on top shift.
I found this gem of a picture from 1875.
Half Dome Then and Now The link will take you to an even higher resolution picture. The slab that appears to be precariously hanging on to the rock just under the slab I'm on has been there for 137 years without any apparent movement. Pretty cool pic.
