New guy here.
With a bit of luck, I will get my permit request to climb Mt Whitney granted this summer.
To acclimate myself to the elevation, I was planning to come a few days earlier and hike Horsehoe Meadow to New Army Pass.
Is a permit required for that area? Are there trail maps available?
