This is not the year to snowshoe in Yosemite. Even their ski area, Badger Pass, is "only 1 good storm away from opening".
I was skiing today at China Peak (elev 7000+), on man-made snow. I have never seen such sorry dry conditions like they have this year.
You might as well take your hiking boots to Yosemite.
Edit... Just checked Yosemite road conditions (209/372-0200 (press 1 then 1)): All roads in Yosemite, including Glacier Point and Tioga Pass are currently OPEN! This year is really breaking records.
