Unless the antibiotic kills the bacterial infection and the swelling in your Eustachian tube goes down and opens, the altitude will show you real pain. The new antibiotics are strong and given for 5 days but the life cycle of bacteria is still 10 days. You may feel improvement before 10 days though. If when going up in altitude and your ear pain increases stop and go down ASAP. You could blow an ear drum if you ignore the pain signal. You don't want that, trust me. Can't force or ignore ear pain with a bad infection. Brown goopy shit coming out you ear. I'd wait.
