Hello, Does anybody know what the chances are, of obtaining a (walk in) Day Hike trail permit for Whitney Zone for 2 people midweek at the end of September? Has anybody gotten one before this way before that can give me some advice? Or would I be wasting my time trying? I already have campground reservations for Whitney Portal but no hiking trail permits secured..
