My post wasn't meant to be the "latest news". That is why I put the dates in there.
One of the reasons I felt drawn to post, is the fact that there has been little or no mention of weather in this thread -
It was intended to highlight potential trouble spots and the fact that conditions do change, not just from year to year but hourly.

You will see that there are bear boxes very conveniently placed for the HST, Big Arroyo, and Tyndal-Crabtree areas - the last one, however, is in the Crabtree area. So, you will need a canister for any nights spent beyond there - We found that one canister for two people worked well, as the extra food was kept in the bear boxes and was gone by the time we got to Guitar Lk.
As for the damaged one at Hamilton, there were several bear boxes, and they were spread out (Climber.org lists 4). A call to SEKI may be able to clarify.
