I'm attempting to do the JMT without a resupply. That's the plan, we'll see how the warm up hike goes. I might be getting a taste of reality.

In October, after all resupply places close for the season (and the JMT is deserted), I'll try something like that, too. I may still be able to use VVR - some years they stay open into mid October, but apart from that it's all going to be one Bearikade, food for Tuolumne Meadows to the Portal. 10-11 days if the weather is nice, 15 or more if not, and pretty hungry if VVR is closed when I get there.
