That is cool, and definitely minimalist! However I'll have one other person with me, and I plan to back pack with it in Alaska over the summer, so i'd want something that would stand up to rain and or wind.

at this one. Comes in 3 sizes. Based upon personal experience, I'd opt for the 2 person if I were solo, and a 3 person for two. That way, you can get your pack and boots into the tent without problem, and be able to sit up in them without hitting your head. Bivies are light, but ... that's about all they've got going for them, IMHO. You probably want a groundsheet as well - either theirs, or make your own from Tyvek.
This is a basic design, similar to other manufacturers. I have one made by Big Agnes, but it's essentially the same tent. They're free-standing too, which is a plus.
