Thunderstorms can be fleeting at that elevation. I'm probably overly cautious, but if I see approaching thunderheads rolling in, I simply wait until they are gone before I summit. Depending on the weather, that might take minutes or a couple of hours. I don't like sharing the vicinity of any summit with a nearby thunderhead.
