Bob, I loved reading your trip report. I got so caught up reading it that I could picture you on the mountain in my mind and I stared fearing for your safety. I had to snap out of my extreme focus to realize I was reading a report and that you are alive and well in Reno. It's an exciting report and I got cold and started to shiver as I read it. I've never done such extreme winter hiking or camping. I'm glad you had a safe trek, I loved your pictures, especially the photo of the trail head sign nearly buried in snow and GOOD FOR YOU FOR SHOWING THOSE RANTERS THAT IT CAN BE DONE WITHOUT AN ICE AXE & ICE SCREWS. Seriously, there are some people posting these days that need to seek out a Psychiatrist and get some meds (who knows, I might be one of them....NOT....but that's my opinion).
