Sounds like sciatic pain to me.
Mine was bilateral
pseudo-sciatica. It was horrible sciatic-like pain caused by the piriformis swelling or trapping the sciatic nerve (after overused, repetitive motion)
apparently it is rare, Rod probably know more about this.
